In India: Community and Conflict
Many photographs in this collection document the traditional work methods and rural communities living within the vast Bandhavgarh Forest—a landscape the size of Wales. As the region with the highest density of wild tigers in India, the buffer zone forest clearings are sites of a delicate, often dangerous balance. These images explore the reality of human-wildlife coexistence, where the struggle for natural resources meets the daily rhythm of village life.
My documentary work in India is deeply intertwined with the landscape and its protectors. I am proud to serve as a Trustee for Tigers4Ever, the only international charity operating directly within the Bandhavgarh Forest region to ensure a future for wild tigers and the communities that live alongside them.
